The Plan

There are 5 areas (circles) of life that we need to pay attention to in order to have a life of balance:

1. Personal (mental, emotional, physical)
2. Professional (The work that we do care for our family & community)
3. Financial (How we handle the wealth we have been given)
4. Spiritual (Your relationship with God)
5. Family (Your relationships with your family)

In each one of these circles you are in one of four levels:

1. Survival  - Continuing to exist
2. Stability – Consistently dependable
3. Success – Achieving what is desired
4. Significance – The quality of having a lasting impact for God and others.

If you were to evaluate what level you were in for each circle what would you say?  Like a wheel that spins, if you circles are all different sizes you wheel isn’t going to spin fluidly, i.e you are out of balance.  We tend to spend the majority of our time and energy investing in the circle where we net the best results not realizing that the other circles are shrinking and eventually they get to a point where they blow up and take all of the other circles with them.  To the right is the example of what a the life of a typical 55 year old man will look like based on what the world encourages us to pursue.  Perhaps one of these circles may reach success at the expense of many others. We can do better than that.

Wisdom tells us that we need to pay attention to all of these areas. We need to make regular deposits in all circles but especially in the areas we are weak so that we will have balance. If we live a life of balance we are much more likely to be able to achieve success or significance in one or more area.

So what deposits do we make?  That is where the life plan comes into play. The Life plan is customized to you but is based on timeless biblical truths about each o the five circles. If you know the truth about life then we can create a great plan to pursue.

The Life Plan Steps

1. Evaluate where you are. Realistically what level are you in each of the five circles
2. Investigate the biblical truths about each of the five circles
3. Define what success looks like for you in each of the five circles
4. Create a plan to complete actions that will help you progress towards success
5. Act, review, refine, repeat
